Kick-off 2018
Museum VolkenkundeOn Sunday, August 26th, the Kick-Off 2018 took place. We Are Leiden challenged 150 residents from Leiden to give 150 newcomers a personal tour of the city. Not the famous and touristic highlights of Leiden’s city centre, but the places that locals like to go to in their daily lives. Such as a nice cafe to drink coffee, a beautiful park, a cozy bookshop or a park where you can do exercises. All with the goal to helping the newcomers get to know Leiden and to connect people in the city. And what a fun day it was!
New contacts, fun and a relaxed and old-fashioned atmosphere
The Kick-Off 2018 has taken place and we think it was a successful day! Almost 150 residents from Leiden and 150 newcomers gathered at Museum Volkenkunde to participate in the Kick-Off 2018. Firstly everybody was registered and was given a unique We Are Leiden goodie bag, after which we started with a joint African dance. Then, everybody enjoyed the lunch, after which the buddies went into town with each other. After the tours, participants returned to the garden of Museum Volkenkunde where some entertainment was organized such as dance, music, food and drinks.
